October 24th is circled on the Lange calendar every year. It marks the anniversary of the brand's revival in Glashütte in 1994, and for the past several years A. Lange & Söhne has used the date to drop something significant. This year they turned 30, and one of the pieces they chose to mark it is the Datograph Perpetual Ref. 410.136E: a 950 platinum case and integrated bracelet version of their flagship complication, set with baguette diamonds and limited to just 50 pieces.
The Datograph Perpetual already sits at the top of Lange's lineup. It combines a flyback chronograph with a perpetual calendar and an outsize date, all in a 41mm case. That's a lot of watch. This new reference keeps all of that mechanical substance intact and turns the aesthetic dial all the way up, pairing the movement with a full platinum bracelet and diamond-set lugs. It is, without question, one of the most opulent things to come out of Glashütte in recent memory.
Production is capped at 50 pieces worldwide, and pricing is by application only. If you have to ask, you probably know the answer already.
What's Actually New Here
The movement inside is the caliber L952.2, the same engine that powers existing Datograph Perpetual references. So the mechanical story hasn't changed. What Lange has done is build an entirely new presentation around it. The case is 950 platinum, and for the first time on this reference it's paired with an integrated platinum bracelet. That's not a minor detail. Integrated bracelets are notoriously hard to execute well, and doing it in platinum adds significant weight and manufacturing complexity.
The baguette diamonds are set into the lugs, which adds to the dressy character without touching the dial. The dial itself retains the classic Datograph Perpetual layout: outsize date at 1 o'clock, moon phase and day-of-week across the bottom arc, month and leap year in the upper registers, and the chronograph registers front and center. Silver-toned here, which is the right call against platinum.

Who This Is For
This is not a watch for someone easing into high watchmaking. The Datograph Perpetual in any form is a serious collector's piece, and this version doubles down on that. The combination of platinum, diamonds, and a 50-piece limit puts it firmly in the category of a collector's statement, whether that means wearing it to a formal dinner or locking it in a safe. It's aimed at someone who already understands what the L952.2 is and why it matters, and who wants a version of the Datograph Perpetual that makes no attempt to be quiet about itself.
For the buyer who wants the Datograph Perpetual but prefers restraint, existing references in white gold or pink gold are still available. This one is for the 50 people who want the bracelet, the platinum, and yes, the diamonds on the lugs.
Context: Lange's Anniversary Habit
Lange has been consistent about using October 24th as a launch platform for meaningful releases. The 30th anniversary brought a cluster of references, including updated Lange 1s and the second-generation Zeitwerk. Placing the Datograph Perpetual Ref. 410.136E in that company tells you something about how the brand views this piece. It's not a filler release or a colorway tweak. Lange considers this one of its showpieces for the year.
