Introducing – The Racetrack-Ready Czapek Faubourg de Cracovie Crossroads

Launched in 2018, the Faubourg de Cracovie was Czapek’s third model and first chronograph, powered by Vaucher’s sophisticated high-frequency column-wheel movement. Maintaining the brand’s spirit of modern classicism, the 41.5mm chronograph defied the canon of most sporty stopwatches by flaunting traditional guilloché dials. This autumn, Czapek releases two iterations of its chronograph with a racing-style […]

First Look – The Hamilton Khaki Navy Scuba 40mm, now with a Cool Red Bezel

While widely known for its countless apparitions on the silver screen and its military-inspired watches, Hamilton, once an American brand now under the umbrella of the Swatch Group, also carries a rather serious range of aquatic-oriented watches. Sitting alongside the high-performance Frogman and BeLOWZERO collections is the Khaki Navy Scuba, a classic dive watch with […]

New: Arnold & Son Perpetual Moon 38 Red Gold

The Arnold & Son Perpetual Moon is a statement timepiece, with not only an aesthetically intricate design, but also an impressive purpose-built movement to match. The case size at 38mm is a delightful substitute to the previous 41.5mm version, especially for those with slimmer wrists. We like that the movement ‘fills up’ the case, visible from the case back, usually a hallmark of purpose built movements; specific movement for a specific case.

Bulova is Seeing Red with their Latest Lunar Pilot

It’s officially Space Watch Season. We just saw G-SHOCK release their latest collaborative release with NASA, and now Bulova returns with a new version of their popular Lunar Pilot, this one in a “blood moon” colorway. While the Lunar Pilot doesn’t have “first watch on the moon” pedigree like the venerable Omega Speedmaster, it does have its own legitimate spacefaring history. In 1971, Dave Scott, mission commander of Apollo 15, wore a similar Bulova Chronograph when he became the seventh man to walk on the moon. Unlike the Speedmaster, which was conceived originally as a racing chronograph, the Bulova on Scott’s wrist was designed specifically for use in space, specifically for timing related to critical life support systems. The Lunar Pilot has some aesthetic similarities to the Speedmaster (in their purest form, they are both black dialed chronographs, after all) but Bulova has shown a willingness to experiment with the Lunar Pilot recently, and it now feels very much like its own thing, existing well outside the long shadow of the Speedy. This latest iteration is a good example of how Bulova uses this platform to play with color and our expectations for a sports watch like the Lunar Pilot should be.  As you can plainly see from the images in this post, what we have here is a very red version of the Lunar Pilot, with a bright red main dial and three silvered subdials at 9:00, 3:00, and 6:00. The inspiration here, according to Bulova, is a total lunar ecli...

Are These the Most Summer Ready G-SHOCKs of All Time?

And now, for something completely different from the brand that produces the most durable timepieces in the world. New from G-SHOCK, here we have the Beach Time Lapse Collection, a series of watches that perfectly embody the spirit of summertime. Spread across three models and offered in two color options, they are sure to bring joy and evoke memories of beautiful sunrises or sunsets, depending on your chosen color. The first group of watches are in crisp white cases with matching straps, while the other options showcase a translucent grey case and strap. These models stand out from other G-SHOCK models with the same modules due to the new special vapor deposition process that reflects various hues of light on the glass. Each watch emits a unique radiance for a personalized look that is truly your own. The three models to choose from are the DW-5600 with its iconic square form factor, the ever-popular octagonal GA-2100, and the GA-110 with its large distinctive case. All three watches are shock-resistant, water-resistant up to 200 meters, easy to read in the dark, and have a long battery life. They also have stopwatch functionality, along with various alarms, calendars, timers, and accuracy to +/- 15 seconds per month. The G-SHOCK Beach Time Lapse Collection is available now and prices are $140 for the white GA110TL-7A, $110 for the white GA2100TL-7A, and $110 for the white DW5600TL-7. The grey GA110TLS-8A is 150$, the grey GA2100TLS-8A is $120, and the grey DWS5600TLS-8 i...
