What the Reverso uniquely offers
The 1931 Reverso has one feature no other rectangular dress watch matches: it flips. A polo player's spec, designed so the case-back faces outward and the crystal can't shatter from a polo mallet. Most owners never flip it; the engraving real estate on the case-back is a personal-monogram canvas in a way the Tank or Calatrava don't offer.
The picks below split between true rectangular alternatives (Cartier Tank, Hamilton Pulsomatic, Glashütte Senator), square cases (NOMOS Tetra), and round dress watches at the same buyer level (Lange Saxonia, Patek Calatrava). All current production.

The most-recognisable rectangular dress watch alternative.
