What a meteorite dial actually is
Iron meteorites cooled extremely slowly, over millions of years. That let the iron and nickel grow into long interlocking crystals. Cut a thin slice, etch it with acid, and you get the cross-hatched Widmanstätten pattern. No two dials look the same. Most brands use Muonionalusta (found in northern Sweden) or Gibeon (Namibia). The ten below run from a €1,375 Bulova to a gold Daytona at €44,100 and up.

Frequently asked questions
What is a meteorite dial?
A thin slice of an iron meteorite, etched with acid so the Widmanstätten crystal pattern shows. Most watch brands use Muonionalusta from Sweden or Gibeon from Namibia. Every dial is a different cut, so no two watches look exactly the same.
What is the cheapest real meteorite dial watch?
On this list it's the Bulova Lunar Pilot Meteorite at US$1,495 (about €1,375), a quartz chronograph. If you want an automatic, the Delma Midland Meteorite is €1,700 and the Yema Navygraf Meteorite is €2,900.
How much is the Rolex Daytona Meteorite?
The 2025 versions launched at €42,200 in yellow gold (126518LN) and €44,100 in white gold (126519LN) or Everose (126515LN). Rolex raised gold prices again in January 2026, so expect a bit more now. All three come on an Oysterflex bracelet with a black ceramic bezel.
Do meteorite dials rust?
Meteorite iron can oxidise if moisture gets in, which is why brands treat or plate the dial before fitting it. Inside a sealed, water-resistant case it isn't something to worry about day to day.
